Thread: It is a start

Met with Kurt and his nephew Dalton at Ebenezer bout 8:30. Was a nippy 27 degrees. But ya gotta go when ya can. Set out for who knew where. Checked couple of spots with no sign of life. Went to another spot and a bit more promising. Lines out in 42 fow. Water 45 degree and good color for Wylie. Wasnt long and we broke the ice. Crappie were deep and slow biting for us. We tightlined minnows and a couple of jigs with minnows on. Not a taker on the jigs. Did find 21 crappie willing to go along with the plan. Kurt kept 16 for a fish fry later on.Plenty of perch.Must have had 50 or so of the rascals. A buddy wanted catfish bait so we made him happy. .Overall a good day to get out. My fishin team has had a bad time last few weeks. Just happy to get em out and get away from it. We already makin plans for our next outing. Better get your house pass lined up..
