    Cool Longlining on rainy monday.

Well I got early Monday was at lake at 7am put boat in water and it was a little foggy . I head up lake to flat where I normal catch some fish in winter. I had just got my rods out enjoy my day off first one in coupe weeks. My peace and quite was ended by long rod bending down first fish of the day. I caught a limit by 130 even with light rain fish where still biting. I was in 25 to 35 deep water with fish and bait from 23 up 18 feet deep. I was pulling 1/8 heads with number 7 split shot at .8 up to 1.2 mph the fish like slow some times If you did not catch any on a pass speed up they bite. The best color was blue silver with green tail and bleeding shad with blue head jig was second . I had a good day even with the rain showers and couple hybrids making for a couple tangles. The bait was stacked in one small area that was where most of the crappie bite came from. If bait split up look out hybrids bite. It was great be on water had great time even with the light rain. I also had great supper of fresh fish hush puppies and coleslaw.
