The conditions were less than favorable on Thursday with a stiff 15 mph wind blowing most of day, but I was able to ride the waves to success and boat a decent limit if fish using minnows over brush in the 12 to 15 foot range. On Friday Tommy and I hit the water together. A slight breeze welcomed us in the early morning hours, but subsided to nearly nothing for a 3 hour window. We chose to fish the dead standing timber out in the middle of the lake using tight lined minnows on a single hand held pole. The fish didn't jump in the boat on every tree, but enough did to keep us hunting. We ended the day with 30 pretty nice fish with a good many being quality white crappie. We focused in waters 22 to 25 feet deep. It is again getting near my slow down period, the fish are moving off the brush and beginning to scatter with the cooler water and air temps. I'll be fishing less, and tinkering around the house trying to get a few odds and ends completed before the early spring bite rolls in. I'll still fish every so often, just not weekly as I am doing now. Stay after them and keep those reports coming!
