This is a little off species, but I believe some CDC members may find it helpful. Seeing as how now I'm officially a CDC sponsor, I'm going to give it a try...
Several South Carolina CDC members may already know that before I did much crappie fishing, I primarily fished for trophy stripers. My team and I fished in quite a few striper tournaments over the years, with the highlight of it all being winning the 2002 National Striped Bass Association (NSBA) National Championship held on Clarks Hill. The NSBA is now long defunct, but I continue to chase the stripers in between crappie trips, especially when the conditions are right.
Over the years I have been approached by friends and neighbors asking for instructions on how to learn reservoir striper fishing techniques. Many times I would take them out fishing, and try my best to show and describe some of the techniques I have learned. The book I have compiled, Fishing For Reservoir Stripers, does this much better.
I know many of the CDC members “double-dip” as I do, and occasionally go after the stripers, or white perch, or catfish. If you are interested in learning more of what it takes to land greater numbers of stripers, or what it takes to land your first 30+ lb trophy striper, feel free to check out my new website at www.reservoirstripers.com. I also have a Facebook page at Fishing For Reservoir Stripers.

P.S. I also included a bonus chapter in the book on Long Lining For Crappie!
