    Default Cane Creek,10-4

After reading ScooperDudes good report 9-30,I got the itch real bad to go.I hit the lake this morning at 7:30,second boat at the landing.I trolled a long way before the first fish hit, wasnt marking much at all on the depth finder.Got out in some 24FOW and found a good school of hungry fish of all sizes, from 7 inches to 12 inches.Kept at em and scratched out a limit of 9 inch and better fish,,big fish was right at 12.All fish caught longlining 1/16 oz sliders. The wind really got up and made it hard to control the speed.all in all the Lord blessed me with a great morning of fishing.Wasnt but 3 or 4 boats out this morning.

Heres the big fish of the day, with bait of choice along with a couple peanuts used for chumming(Scooperdudes secret method for the big fish that he"let out of the bag")
    HEY,,WATCH THAT YELLOW ROD

Sam, I was going to see if you wanted to fish yesterday, but couldn't make up my mind about the wind. I got up early and looked at the weather and decided to get the trucks washed instead.
Linda and I went this morning and did good for the first hour or so then the wind started and the bite stopped. 4 of the first 5 were over 8 1/2" long the biggest of the 17 we caught was 12+ inches.
Went thru 10lbs of peanuts and just couldn't get them turned on

Jerry Cane Creek is in North Carolina just South of Waxhaw
Some of us in NC fish both sides of the line

John, anytime you'd like to learn the little bit I know I'll be glad to share what I think I know. The biggest secret is to get some lines in the water, Sam taught me that one. :-)

Is this Cane Creek Park? Or is Cane Creek a part of a river.
