Hit the lake yesterday, and boy was it hot. Water temp was 93 to 88 fished from about 5p.m. to sundown. Found some fish in about 22 feet of water about 9 to 16 feet down. Crappie mixed in with some other sort of species i think white perch. 17 fish where taken with the biggest going 15 1/4. Well marked the spot so I can return again another trip. Live bait was the bait of choice.![]()

going down there next weekend. Any hints on what to try and where. Still trying to decide where to stay. Thanks
If it where me I would fish this place called jacks creek. Deepest place is only about 16 to 18 feet but there is a lot of standing timber all over the place I would start out there. It is a great place for any one that loves to one pole jig. I have been doing good out of this place farther down the lake out of this place called Etawaville following the river channel in about 15 feet off water would find the brush on the electronics throw out a marker and sit over the top with the bait down about 8 feet. Hope this helps you out. If the crappie are not biting. There is a place that has some nice gills there to took my oldest son down last week and here is how we did

Good job Bean on the trip. I have to change my transducer to get side scan working. Seeing your post makes me want to hurry up. Only thing that scares me is I have knocked a couple of mounts loose at Santee, matter of fact in Jacks Creek. The LSS2 is so big I fear I will knock it off every trip. (By the way, you left off the GPS coordinates on your screen shot.)
Tim, I sent you a reply on where to stay in the moderated forum if you want to fish the upper lake.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men
Bean,
