    Have been asked.. What is a minnow? What kind of fish are they. I was told by someone what it was. Lets see who knows. No Google here just an answer.

    The smaller species of fish. If I remember right a carp?

    Tuffies are a mud head minnow grown in small ponds around Saluda SC.

    Emerald shiners. Are the ones that I have found around here. Except Uncle Remus has a mean blue type of Emerald shiner.

    In our area we use shiners and tuffies, but their are somewhere around 30 types of minnows used across the usa. And yes some people use gold fish, to fish with ,they cost less also.
