Default Night Stalk on Greenwood 7/26/14

JayHawk and I went got on Greenwood about 7:30 PM Saturday night to get set up for a night stalk. I will say boat traffic on Greenwood on Saturday evening makes it very difficult to see a crappie nibble. We were in JayHawk's Center Console and it felt like we were on the lower lake at Santee with a 15 mph wind at times lol. I will never understand why there is a whole lake for folks to travel but when they see us anchored we seem to be magnets for these huge freaking ski boats that make deadliest catch waves .!//!#

We set up in 20 ftw on the edge of a river channel and once the traffic slowed down a little we caught some decent fish. Props to Jawhawk for discovering a new crappie hole we had never fished! The worst part was the first fish I caught was a cat that got into all my lines and I had to retie 5 rods before catching the first crappie.

Greenwood is hard to fish in the summer months. Congrats on finding a new spot to fish and on the catch. Thanks for posting the report.

Good job guys. The catfish bites are what keep it interesting, if not fun.

Yep. It was a great night on the lake. Even though we were in my boat, Jonesz still caught the most fish. I just could not see that nibble with all the waves. I'm reallly glad that we tried a new spot. As we were anchoring. we notioced another boat was heading to the spot but the early bird always get the worm.
