    Default Boat cover tip

I'm sure some of you have boat covers, my pontoon is just too big to get in the garage.
Well I'd been having trouble (during the winter mostly) pulling the snaps loose. Partly because the old fingers aren't as strong as before and the cold makes them hard to use.
So I thought why not lube them up to see if it helps. Well I got out the old tube of Doorease ( made for lubing the strike plate on car doors in the old days) I slapped a little on each snap base and man o man they pop right on and snap right off like they were new.
As for where to buy it I don't know my tube, best I can figure is from 1973-74 they may be out of business with the new plastic door strikers. I'd try the older auto parts store for a start, we have a place in Matthews called Renfrow hardware, they have everything, I think they have some of the nails that came over on the Mayflower.
Just an idea maybe someone needs it maybe not.
    Enjoy your week ahead

Amazon.com has it listed. Here is the link. Amazon.com: AGS DEK3 Door Ease Lubricant: Automotive

Also Google it and it comes up at Ace Hardware and several other places. Not sure if it is what you have.
