Default Fished The Hill With My Best Buddy

Fished the Hill with by very best buddy today which just happens to be my grandson. He is out of school for the summer now so I will have a regular fishing partner. The bite was a little slower today than the days I fished last week. Last week I had several really good mornings. I figure the fish are trying to recover from all the boat traffic from the week end. We caught quite a few fish this morning and had some good fish but the bite ended fairly early. We were pulling jigs in 15 to 20 feet of water over brush. Most any color was working but blue shiner seamed best. Ray wants to go perch pounding tomorrow. So that's the plan for our trip in the morning.

Good seeing you and your grandson getting some lake time together and will be looking for more of those same reports this summer. Congrats to both of you.

Grandkids make the best fishing partners because Grandmother doesn't complain about how often you take them fishing.

Love those smiling kid faces while in the back of the boat. That's how I got hooked on fishing a many moon ago. Congrats to you and young man on putting the smack down on some fine fish.
