    Default Lake Wylie 4-28-14

Tried trolling for crappies on Big & Little Allison. Covered a lot of water to find only one spot where the fish would bite. The one spot was about the size of pickup & about 15 deep. Jigs tipped with minnows were the bait. Caught 2 bass, 25 perch & 7 crappies.

Looks like I need to go back to fishing for perch & bass. The crappies don't seem to be there anymore like they used to be.

Sounds like those perch and the bass helped save the day. Congrats on the catch.

I think I know your spot. Remus and I caught ours last week in a certain stretch of Big Allison and no where else. We circled around four or five times and got lots of perch and several crappies. Don't give up they still have to settle down from running in and out from the bank with water level and temps changing every other day it seems. Hopefully it will get better after the rain that's coming in.
    Good luck next time.
