I haven't priced trolling motors, but I just bought a Lowrance elite 4 dsi color unit for the front of mine for $149.00 from Gander Mtn. it included a trolling motor mount as well. The unit is pretty simple, but I had to buy a real clamp for the transducer, they sent a plastic strap with it that I just did not trust banging on fish and stumps and such!!

That is a very good price, the platinum chip is over $100 and I think the one that comes as a package is even more. I understand the latest update from Lowrance fixes the slow refresh rate that many, including me, had complained about. I am going to update mine and see if it helps.
But that Cabela's price is about $250 less than a new one.

Would be interested to know if it fixes the refresh rate, hope it does.
