Hit Big Allison this morning. Started out pulling several color jigs without any luck. After I started adding minnows to the jigs I started catching fish. Caught all my fish before about 10. Ended up with 15 crappies, 5 cats, 4 perch & 1 bass.
Maybe the crappies are making a come back.

Minnows tipped can be the difference in catching or not, looks like today was the day they wanted a little minnow action, congrats on the catch.

Have never used a minnow long lining
I always use a minnow. Live bait just makes since. Still learning but in my opinion no artificial baits smells like the real thing or looks like it. So if you mix the two together you got a deadly combination.
