Default Wateree Next Saturday, Need Advice

My fishing buddy is coming down from Greer, SC this Saturday to do some fishing for the first time on Wateree and I would love to put him (and me ) on some fish. I don't have a boat so I'm looking for any advice to make it a good trip. My aunt has a pier on the main lake and was thinking about fishing for cats off it and casting some jigs under a slip float around it for crappie. There's also the nearby bridges and the State Park as spots that come to mind.

PS if anyone has room for a couple guys Saturday, drop me a line. He's pretty new but loves it but I know how to hold my mouth right.

I heard the water was muddy but there is muddy water on all the lakes right now. Sounds like y'all are going to be fishing on the bank where the fish are right now! I would work the banks anywhere I could. If you have waders slide into the water and work the back of creeks or anything in 4' or less, just be careful not to step in a deep hole! Hope you can put your friend on some good fish, good luck smooth.

Thanks man! I'm hoping with the forecast of 70s this weekend it'll turn them on and push them shallow!
