    Default south point landing--lake wylie

if im coming up new hope road from lake wylie, can someone tell me the best way to get to the south point landing? im gonna try it to see if it will be a shorter way for me to get to catawba creek. my truck is much easier on gas than my boat is

Rango, If You Head 274 Towards Gastonia @ 49 /274 Intersection In Lake Wylie The First Light You Come To Is Pole Branch Rd, Turn Right And Stay On It Till You Pass 7 Oaks Bridge, Go About A Mile And You Will Turn Right @ 273 Towards Belmont , Go About 3 Miles Till It Dead Ends Into Southpoint Rd, Turn Right And The Landing Is Down About 1 1/2 Miles On The Left. ( Across From Reflection Point Sub Division).
Once You Put Your Boat In The Water Your About Three Miles To The Creek.
IF IM ON HERE I AINT FISHIN

rango ive put in there before and it is the same exact distance there than it is to the BB by boat. might be like 1-2 minutes shorter but not worth it to make a longer drive there. also last time i was there it was not very well lit up, and its located there near belmont.....long story short i wouldnt trust leaving my truck there over night!!
Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.
Individual maker of the heavy duty "hybrid" A-rig Trolls just like an umbrella rig, Guaranteed to put fish in the boat

PETE HOW LONG HAS IT BEEN SINCE YOU WENT TO SOUTH POINT, THEY HAVE MADE A LOT OF NICE CHANGES, PARKED THERE FOR MANY YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS(KNOCK ON WOOD).IF NOTHING ELSE THE RAMPS ARE A LOT EASIER THAN BB. WERE YOU THE ONE WHO LOST YOUR VAN INTO THE WATER AFTER TOWING THAT BOAT TO THE LANDING?

Rango, South Point is pretty remote not much around a few years back there were a lot of breakins one night I had a door window broke out and the other 7 trucks in the parking lot also lost a window. I havn't used SP since to go nightstalking.

i was considering making that drive up there if the mileage savings by water was considerable but it dont look like theres much of a difference and going there by truck may be a little longer than going to the bb landing. ive never been to that landing, the only one on wylie ive never put in at, so i was curious about the distances and how to get there.
