It's a public lake. All spots are first come first serve with a few exceptions.
I agree if another fisherman shows you their spot and you know they'll be fishing in in a tourny or are out that day that you somewhat avoid it, or it it after they fish. Unless it's a guide you've paid for.
One thing I don't care for though is when I'm going dock to dock, or up the shore, and someone jumps into the dock in front of me. I'd say bridges are a little different as you often have a few boats somewhat stacked up at them.
