We fished all day. Caught 1 small bass that's it. We fished martins creek- 18 mile creek. And coves in between. We marked fish and brush piles/ bamboo in 30-10 feet of water and fish from 25-10 ft. Water was fairly clear except at mouth of all creeks. We did catch a lot of sun and fun. Any day spent with my son is better than nothing. So today was a lot of fishing making memories and very little catching. Maybe next week we can hammer em gonna try going to Russell. If any one has any tips or where to start that would be great. The fishing is fun and I love spending time with my little man but would like to start catching. If nothing else we have the Gulf Stream (little river- myrtle beach) this April and May to catch some Mahi Mahi

How were you fishing
Tight lining. I used everything I had. Double minnow rig,two jigs, jig and a minnow, bottom bouncing, single minnow and single jig. Some brush piles I marked fish, some nothing. I fished creek channels, ledges, humps, standing timber, timber that was laying in the water from banks. I marked bait fish and even seen shad on top of the water. At 7:40 water temp was 48.3. At 11:00 it was 49.9. At 2:00 water was 51.4. The only place I found water above that was rip rap in 10ft of water it was 56.1.at 20ft it was 55 at 30ft it was 53.1. I marked fish but would not bite. I used minnows from 1"-3". I was down there a few weeks ago and striper fishing and the same thing found the fish, birds and 10-15 boats only seen one fish caught. In 18 mile creek fish and bait was so thick that the screen was almost black.
Thanks for reporting, we all have those days when we're doing a lot more fishing than catching. Hang in there, and keep dragging those baits around. Sooner or later you'll run into a drove of them.

I went to Hartwell Saturday and it was tough. Hopefully this week and weekend will bring better results.
