What happened to the Tread fin Shad that were in Wateree Seems I haven't netted any in a couple years. Am I just missing where they are? Finding Gizzard Shad but no Treads Ideas anyone?

They were super thick this fall to the point were I thought I hung the net up there were so many. Much easier to find in low light then they seem to move to deeper water durin the day. Gizzards seem to stay a little shallower and in coves so they are easier to catch During the day. Try looking from beaver creek to Clearwater cove.

Thanks Bioguy, I didn't really need them just wondered where they went. I haven'r caught bait in Beaver in years, but do net some at Clearwater. It just dawned on me the other day I hadn't seen them in years, maybe because I was in the wrong place.

This past December they were so thick just outside of Clearwater cove heading south on the east bank for at least a hundred yards. Lots of stripes, perch and white bass were had then drifting live bait. When water temps hit 70 they will be super thick in the creeks for the spawn.

I hope a few died off due to cold weather. A few folks said they seem some dying...atleast on Hartwell and Russell lakes.
