Perch Jerkin on lake Murray 12-26-2013

I put in at Shull Island and managed to cull down to 50 decent White Perch, a 4lb channel cat and a 6-7lb largemouth. I had a ball fishing with medium weight rods, 10# braid and 1/40z. Kastmaster jigging spoons. I found most of the fish in 40-45 feet of water and there were some huge schools in the area. Just thought I would pass it along.

Where did you fish? We went back into Bear Creek until we found 40 FOW. I think any place similar would hold fish.

On the dirt side of Shull near the mouth of the cove at old Turners Landing.

That is completely across the lake from where we were. I bet if you could see how many of them critters are down there it would blow your mind. Got to be thousands, not hundreds, all eating crappie eggs and fry.

True dat!!!! I started to go to Bear Creek after reading your post but decided to stay with what has been working for me. I'm going to try #4 next.
