    Default Geenwood friday

Met bigtime at Harris's landing around 8:30 to give the crappie a try. Lake is still muddy and about 4 ft low. Had no trouble launching out of the landing. We went down to where the rivers split and tightlined till dark. Bite was slow most of the day until around 3 and it picked up until dark. I caught around 30 fish and culled 14 to bring home for supper. No big fish caught but enough over 9 in for a good meal. Wind never got above 3 to 4 mph all day just a beautiful day to be on the water. When the bite picked up any color tail was catching fish. Fished 12 ft deep

Man that is a long day. Not sure I could handle that many hours in a boat. Of course if you had left earlier you would have missed the 3 o'clock bite. Congrats on a good trip. How were you fishing? Tightlining jigs? I assume you had pretty good size weights on. I have not tried that method. I tried pulling jigs Friday but after I donated 4 to a brush pile I went back to tightlining minnows. Were you using minnows or just jigs?
Hope we can hook up somtime in the new year.

A long, tough day, at least the weather was beautiful, and enough fish cooperated to make a fine mess. Congrats!
