bjoyce, I have not been over Hartwell lately but if the lake is close to full it would be a good time to try 18 Mile Creek and all the coves on the 6 & 20 arm of the lake. Hope you find the crappie biting.

Just wondering where to go on hartwell since water is back up. I'm happy just to get out and feel a tug on the line even if its a small bream or perch

May try Hartwell Wednesday also.
Only caught two crappie at end of day at brown road access I caught a nice striped hybrid or white bass measured 21 inches didn't keep bc I don't know the new limits had to weigh at least five and I caught it on my ul rig fun and crazy experience wind was blowing from every direction couldn't keep the boat straight trolling the whole day that striped sure made the trip though
Forgot to mention both crappie were caught on minnows in 8 to 10 ft of water the striper or hybrid was caught in 35 ft of water approx 10 to 15 ft down trolling with a pink and chartreuse 1/8 oz Maribou roadrunner the striper was caught in a cove above Denver access
