I've been lurkin for awhile and after reading this thread I figured it was time to join. I have the Lowrance x96 and had been wondering what was wrong. I found my answer to be electrical interferance thanks to this thread and will re-route the wires today. My batteries are up front under the deck and the lowrance wires are running directly next to the power cables to the motor. Thinking back on it I guess it should have been common sense not to do that.:D
Great board and excellent thread!
Thanks
I have a hummingbird 97 combo matrix /gps. If anyone has any pictures on what it is showing me i would be very thankful. I am still very green on what it is showing me.

Do you have the Navionics (?sp) on your unit? I am thinking about the 797 and don't know if I want to spend the extra $200. Opinion?
