Pile up as many as you can! The fewer the deer population the less likely I am going to hit another with my vehicle. Enjoyed the write up, congrats a fine deer. When I was an avid hunter I was just as excited when pulling the trigger on a fat doe as I was a fine buck. Whether fish or animal, a trophy is what the one doing the harvesting makes of it. The hunt for animals or fish is what drives most. The more challenging the quarry the more satisfying the victory. After the miss in the morning the redemption is all the sweeter. Way to go!!!
Congrats on the kill, nothing wrong with a deer like that he will definately eat good.
That's a good dear,a good report, too. If i see one like that around here I'll shoot it! If I dont , the neighbor will. They dont get any bigger around here.
People that complain about taking a deer like that are rich, arrogant, or jealous. Not everyone has the money to "buy" their trophies by managing HUGE tracts of land or hunting behind fences. Venison is good and good for you. With the price of beef, I may have to go back to deer hunting myself. I would bow hunt if it weren't for the mosquitos and heat. I just ain't as tough as I used to be. BUT.....I'm a long way from 23, too. Thumbs Up
congrats cb on a fine buck ill take him all day you lucky dog now go pile some more up
CB, is bow season already over in your area? I remember you used to hunt hard with the bow.
Nice deer. good job. I like that rifle. I have one just like it with a side mounted 4x Leupold past down from my late dad. It doesn't see as much time anymore as my "big" gun but I enjoy taking it from time to time, and it's got a lot memories and deer associated with it.
