Default Dead Sea 3/21 am report Lake Guess 3/21 pm report

Ran into Stumpy yesterday on the Dead sea, enjoyed seeing you out there Ronnie. The wildlife was abundant, I seen wood ducks, mallards, a very determined osprey (he missed on three straight dive bombing runs)...nice cloud cover and plenty of fish. Caught probably 25 fish but only had 9 to make the box. I was longlining 1/16 oz purple shiner curl tails and 1/24oz. stumphunter's fire tigers. Most of the time I was running around .8mph. Around lunch time, I made a decision to load up and try "Guess Lake". I bid Stumpy farewell and lit off. Got back to fishing and tried to beat the banks without any luck. Reluctantly, I put the longlines out and immediately caught fish. They were far better size wise, but the wind made for a tough afternoon. I sped up to 1-1.2mph and the best combo I had was Stumpy's pink sickle head/ purple shiner. Seen alot of people fishing and not many catching, but it was working for me so I stuck with it until 6pm and I had to give it up. Ended up with a good limit, but I worked for 'em. Man, that sun and wind took it out of me yesterday afternoon. Got some good pics, hope ya'll enjoy. If anybody wants specific lake info, send me a pm...from now on it will be omitted from my post.Name: geese.jpg

Glad you got to spend the whole day fishing. That does have a way of wearing ya down. Thnks for sharing the pictures and congrats on the limit. Other than that wind, it was a nice day for fishing.
