    Default Slabs on Greenwood 3/8/10

Got to the lake at 8:30 this morning and the lake was calm!!! I didn't know what to do :D:D
Started fishing close to the place I did Friday and was only picking up 1 here and there. Adjusted my speed and pulled the jigs closer to the boat and started catching em Stopped fishing at 1:30 and had caught 56 crappie, 1 striper and 12 white perch. Kept my limit of nice slab crappie. A lady at the store wanted a mess of em too.
While loading the boat there was a older than me guy and his wife that were also loading up and they had only caught 1 crappie. I told them were to fish next time, showed them what I was using and gave them 10 crappie. They left the lake happy Stopped by the store and gave that lady 10 and I have 10 left for me. Didn't get a pic with them all layed out but did get the lady to take a pic of a few crappie and got a pic of the livewell.
The water was 47 degrees when I started and had got to 52 at 1:30. Fish were caught in 14' to 18' of water fishing around 12' deep. Was running a single 1/8 jig longlining at .09 mph
Great day on the lake and a couple of others will have a good meal too.
The crappie are turning darker. They might not wait for the water to warm up.

Nice catch, the bite is definately turning on I fished Saturday and we kept a 60 limit by 2 o' clock. They were all very nice fish like these above. We were in 14 ft of water fishing about 10 ft. deep. Chartrues (sp. is not right), green, and yellow were the hot colors.

Great catch!! I wish I would have went to greenwood, didn't do to well at the hill today. Now I know why Murray and greenwood are packed with boats and have clark hill all to yourself. That will be my last trip to the hill for a while.

Let me know when they start getting on the docks and Ill be down there everyday. I got the colors down pat for Greenwood. I also have some nice docks picked out. Its kinda hard to troll with my boat because I only have 5 settings on the trolling motor and its more for bass fishing then anything else.
