    Default The Hill 3/8/10

Trolled up the lake down the lake and across the lake everywhere. Caught about 20 or so little tater chips and about 10 hybrids and a couple stripers. No size to them either. Only caught 2 to put in the livewell but later released them. They have eluded me this time so Greenwood here I come!! Water temp got up in the low 50's, the fish should have been burnin it up. But for me that wasn't the case. Gabowman I hope you had better luck than me.

That's a day we try not to have but we all have em The Hill can be fun when they are biting but a slow day is rough, there is nothing to look at but trees and other boats.

This is true but I like looking at the trees better than all those noisy dogs and people on the other lakes. But you have to go where the fish are biting all else is minor. Still was a beautiful day on the water. And got to spend some time with my Dad. He said son these fish are so small we should feed them a minnow before we let them go:D

Fa, it was nice finally meeting you today. After I left you I ran into a trainload of boats on up Little River. They werent catching but I was.:D Nah! I caught about 15 upriver and came back to where I started and picked up a few more before heading to the Ga. side. I looked in the cooler when loading up and had 6 good keepers that I didnt throw back. I can see where they'll be hard to keep off your hook up that way once they make that move into 10' or so of water though. Looks like a spider riggers dream in another week or so.
