Default Ultralight reels or combos needed!

It's been a heavy attrition year already for my crappie light/ultra light gear. At least half a dozen spinning combos have gone over the side or been stepped on or had the reels lock up.

I'm looking for inexpensive rods/reels (the kind you'd buy new for $15-20) if anyone has any extra. Otherwise, I'll try to seek out the cheapest, single bearing reels and/or combos I can locate and buy them new, so I'd appreciate any advice as to sales/clearances too.

    Thanks!

    William

Grizzly jig has all kinds of cheap spinning reels. If you have time to wait, call them and have them send you a catalog. They have a slew of stuff that dosnt show up on their website. If your talking spinning gear they sell the little B&M 410 for about 12.00 dollars and those things are tough as nails. We pull cranks with big line counters on them and I have caught 6 lb bass out of my pond on one with ultralight lite reel.

Try AtoZ auction on E-Bay (www.atoz.auction). Have bought hundreds of rod/reels from them over the years for kids programs around here. Always a good deal and good equipment. If you use E-Bay, put the items you want in "your cart" until you have finished, they will adjust your S&H on multiple items

For future reference, the SC Sportsman Classic, held in March each year in Columbia, has numerous vendors selling rods and reels at closeout prices. I bought an ultralight rod for $5, only because it was too good to pass up. It has become my favorite for casting jigs around docks. I have since seen the rod for $19.95 at Wal-Mart. Not sure why it was so cheap there. It was new, still had the tags on it.
Monk is there also with his trailer full of every type jig know to the free world. Good chance to stock up on rods, reels, and jigs and a fun way to spend the day with family or friends.

We have a show like that in February at the national fair grounds in Perry. Very good deals and hard to find products.

A local walmart had 4 displays of ultra light combos, spinning, under spin and spin cast in the micro series with 4.5' rods for $20. I checked the rack and found the rod at $18. Didn't find the reels.
