Have used Lowe boat trailer ONLY. 2007 model, came with new Lowe Stinger 195 I bought that year. It is made by Karavan.
Here are pros and cons:
Cons:
I had a blowout on the way back from Toledo Bend last week. Fender is off because of that, and the wiring split at that point. I have the fender, and am convinced it just needs screwed back on, I assume with self-tapping screws. The wiring needs to be spliced back together.
I had radials on it. The blowout was on a radial tire. The spare is bias ply. All tires are 175/80R13 size. The 3rd wheel is available of course. In all honesty, if I were the one buying this trailer, I'd buy two new radial tires and put the bias back on as a spare, and chunk the older radial (the twin to the one that blew).
Pros:
2600 lb axle. DO NOT try and put a huge big boat on this, though. I need to sell it but not bad enough to allow that. I have added three guide-ons.....one is the pontoon type, high raised. Two are the rollers. Get it close and it centers the boat well.
It has a HD tongue jack with double-wheel. Has swingaway tongue, about 27" long. Has magnum sized keel roller.
These are things I've added to it.
Figuring out what to sell it for is a struggle. Used boat trailers only are rare! This one is about $1,950 new. I'd sell it for a third that, or less.
I am in Conway, AR. The trailer is sitting today in Mt. View AR at EZ Trac trailers, which is where I bought my new one. On Wednesday, May 27, I'll go back up and get it and bring it home. I'm going to try and put fender back on and rewire, but may have to wait, depends on time. I'm squeezed for time next week.
