Default Minn Kota Terrova or Minn Kota Riptide ST??

Looking to purchase one of these units. Looking at the 80 lb model with the I-pilot feature. Leaning more toward the Riptide ST with the 54" shaft and buying the foot pedal separate....I don't really have the extra room for the 60" model of the Terrova. This will be going on a Triton TR-18 bass boat if that makes a difference.

Anybody have any pros/cons for these two units??

    Thanks

They are basically the same except the riptide is made for saltwater.

The Terrova is easier to deploy and stow than the PD IMO.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

Hello: The Terrova has built in transducer , the Riptide does not, Riptide is sealed better for salt water.Riptide is white and Terrova is black, other than that they are the same. Good Luck this season. O - R

Unless you have humminbird units. The xi5 is not compatible with birds

Motorguide won't hold up in saltwater or the abuse of fishing flooded timber regular. It's a good anchor I hear.
