Default WTB - 3" skinny tubes in Chartreuse

I'm looking for a tube bait with the diameter of a 2" crappie tube but 3" in length (or longer). Diameter of say a Midsouth or BPS or Southern Pro.

    Maybe a hollow bodied worm?

Anybody know where I could find such an animal?

Try Gary Yamamoto site. He may have something like that. I have a few just a little bigger but they are about 15 years old. Would love to have some that size also.

Thanks - checked the site and closest they have is the baby Ika's, which I do have.

MD go to the Jig Tying forum on main page. Go to pouring section and ask those guys. Several of them do custom pours and I'm sure one of them can either do them for you or point you in the right direction. Those guys do some fantastic work.

The Bronze Star Baits are made by crappiencali here on CDC. I tournament fished with Dave this year. His big big tubes are a little bigger than a midsouth. He has one that has a solid top portion and a hollow portion so that you can use a bait pump to inject nibbles. He also can pour it with a solid body. Dave has several other cool molds also. He can make any color combo you want and can match about anything on the market. Dave Townsend is his name and is located on Truman lake in Central MO. Look him up on facebook for pics or shoot me a PM with a phone number and I can shoot you some pics of what he has poured for me.

Dave sent me a message and pics. His tubes look good, but I think they are a bit bigger in diameter then I want. Looking for like 1/4" max. and his are 3/8". The smaller ones look good but would need to be longer.
Reading that DIY plastics board I think I might try dipping some myself. I have some old plastics the color that I want. I have some steel rods that are just under 1/8" dia that I am going to try and dip. I think this should give me an outside dia of 1/4".

Well I made a couple real quick but don't think they will work. I would have to get a bunch more plastic and figure out colors.

Here is the color I want, and started with:
    Attachment 139830

I heated it up in a soup can, but I guess it did not get deep enough. I used 1/8" rods and here is what I came up with:
On left are single dip, right are double
    Attachment 139831

At least the diameter is right on the doubles, but only 2" long
    Attachment 139832

I'm still going to try them next time out, but will still keep looking
