I think you have designed some EXCELLENT looking rod holders, there. The feedback you get here should serve you well. The comments from some of these guys may well put you in a position to have a product that the others they have mentioned can't compete with.

For those that want a choice in receivers, I offer 2 selections. One where the height has some adjustment, or the riser can be cut off to a shorter length, if necessary. The other one is a flush mount where the riser has to be ordered in the specific height desired. Standard height is 20".

Very interesting EZ. Look good and steady and height adjustment as far as I know is not an option on the commercial holders. Have you thought about inverting the base on the left and have a set screw on the upright? That'd give height adjustment and still retain vertical adjustment to some degree depending on the surface it's mounted to. Or if that's interesting, how about the base on the right but having the upright be a two piece that slides inside itself with a locking pin. Just a thought.
As far as the boo's on the price....seem reasonable to me and there's no reason why you shouldn't get what you want for them.

I like the flush mount much better. Does the flush mount still have vertical adjustment. They do look pretty good to me. Pricing is in the ball park with the others. You have combined some nice features in your units. Good job!
I have made some like what you suggested and they are really great. I had them adj from about 12 to 20 inches. If there is enough request for that, I can certainly make them. However, they then get into the pricey area. My cost was about 10 more dollars, but they worked really great. Seems all my field testers liked the 20 inches as a standard, so that is where I started.Quote:

On the flush mount base model, to make it truly "flush-mount", you might consider counter-sinking the four (4) mounting screw holes to accept either a flathead stainless steel or brass coarse-threaded wood screw, or a fillister-head sheet metal or machine screw (depending upon the substrate). Those hex-head sheet metal screws are tough on bare feet and toes!!!

how wide is that flush mount bottom plate?
Right now the flush mount base is 5X5 inches. Testing proved it was better to be that size for stability if you are pulling cranks. Stainless Steel screws.

Also, you can't tell it from these pics, but to remove the pole holder, you just loosen the knobs and it twist and slide from under the knobs. 3-4 seconds at the most. With additional flush mounting plates, you can move the holder in meer seconds from front to back, one side to the other, or wherever you decide to mount additional plates. I get $12 for additonal plates.
To store the pole holders, you remove the knobs and store with the holder. This leaves you with a flush mount plate with flush stainless steel screws.
