    Default Shrimping Video Explanation?

I grew up in the Marsh, even have Web-Feet, I never seen a shrimping expedition like the last video you posted. Although the harvest was lite if you could post the video and elaborate on what was expected to happen it would be fantastic. Nobody shrimps like that here.

    Here's the video.

What we did was, we had lights down in the water which were supposed to do a couple of things, attract the shrimp, funnel the shrimp between the lights, and make the shrimp visible so you can scoop them up with a net. We set up between the pilings of a railroad bridge, which also helps funnel them. We kinda made a mistake, we shoulda set up on the other side of the boat with the lights as the tide was going out. Many shrimp came out from under the boat which made it difficult to net from behind. They just have to scootch/twitch/flip forward in the direction they are going to get away. It's hard to get them from behind.

You can throw a cast net too, but this is just the way they doing it here by the railroad bridge forever. When they are running, supposably you can fill up a 5 gallon bucket pretty quick catching more than just one at a time, which is not what we did, we pretty ,much caught one at a time. It was fun, just need the right net.

We cast net them here using cat & dog food for bait. I have never seen the way y'all were shrimping before. Thanks for explaining for me.
