Please don't shoot, just a information sharer. I hope you drop in a pound and a half of freon and she runs you out of the cabin.
I've been troubleshooting a 2011 E350 4Matic Wagon all morning. My friend said it worked the day before but quit. He tried to add freon but fortunately the compressor would not pump (Swash Plate design always on Compressor - no Clutch). Turns out the interior Cabin Temperature Sensor thought it was -50 Degrees Celsius. The sensors have a fan built in that sucks cabin air across it, well the funk over the intake grille (my friend thought it was a tweeter speaker) once I removed with a vacuum the excess on the outside proved too much for the little fan. A replacement is needed.
1-800-radiator for compressors, I’ll be ordering one in the next few days, as my compressor gave up the ghost traveling the Turnpike last Saturday. We use Rock Auto for about all other auto parts. Good luck Slab
I don't usually get that lucky. It would be nice to drop in a pound and a half and get frozen out
Awesome news. The system kept vacuum overnight. Yay

Yesterday I replaced the condenser, the dryer and a couple of the lines. Ran vacuum and it failed. I simply removed the AC clutch cutoff switch from the dryer and wouldn't you know it. It held vacuum overnight. That cutoff switch was the only old part which I reattached to a new part, and it attaches at a Schrader valve which meant I could remove it temporarily.
Cool, literally I hope! Just gotta seal up that cutoff switch and load her up with freon. We'll see if she does the ice cube blowing in a few!

Good luck, fingers crossed it works for you.
It makes cold, holy moley, this is great. Lets hope the pressure stays put now. yay
And it does 55 mph down the side road here thorough all the gears with no shakey shakey. yay
And now the bad news, as I pulled into the driveway a coolant line at the back of the engine burst. Well, I guess the good news is, I was in my driveway! glass half full, yay
