It's a pain in the butt to clean up a boat like He's doing........Cheer Him On!
Rojo, Ive seen a couple of your projects that have been pretty rough when you started too. The shop I see in the pics of yours just looks like fun to me. You’d have to tell me to leave. I got my dash panels dry fitted today. Not on a schedule but I need carpet and wiring and it’ll go quick after that.Attachment 509674

I made and painted the dash panels out of some 1/8 I had. Had the idea of painting the panels black but it just didn’t look right, so a trip with the 600 grit and presto!! Now they’re charcoal gray. The left one is screwed down but the other is just hangin around. Gonna tape the edges and start the wiring when the time comes. Gonna try to get a lot of it done before I put it back in. I need to find a little tray to throw jigs and junk in when I’m busy retying. Thinking of a lip around the top of the console too.
Nice work Tim!
Looking great Tim.

I had wanted to leave the drivers side live well in place but once i got it isolated and took a critical look at it, i noticed movement between the tank itself and the fitting thru the hull. So I removed what I had to and got the last pieces of rug out. Cleaned, sanded and painted it’s now ready to go back in. Gonna take a minute though. I’ve decided to raise the tank about 3” and redo a few things. I’m going to find a folded 3” channel of something a little substantial to make the riser with 1” sides, maybe inch and a half. Got about half of the courtesy lights in and some of those wired. The console has three on it facing different directions, one of those underneath where the fuse block is. I don’t want lights facing the rear from up front so there’s only one on the front deck and if i can find some thin stainless sheet goods, I’ll make a hood of sorts to block the light from being too bright, should it be an issue. I had a short piece of stainless piano hinge that kept screaming at me until I put it on the bottom of the switch panel. Two screws will hold the top so a quick look wont be the plan but not having the panel loose in your hands while you try to think or diagnose appealed to me. Leaning towards a dedicated live well control in the other panel on the left side of the wheel. Bow lights don’t live on a post up front as I’ve mounted a set of 4” nav lights outside the hull. I wish I lived closer to one of you aluminum welders. Got two holes to plug in the live well box due to rerouting some plumbing. Might just make a silicone sammich and call it done. Looked into putting in a pump in and out system but the jury is still out on that. More to come, I try to do something on it every day. Thanks for checking in.
