Hi guys I currently have a HDS Gen 2 Touch with a LSS2 transducer. I have wanted to add a new unit in the front. I have seen that Cabelas will be having a good deal on a HDS Gen 3 unit with the LSS2 transducer and it made me think that it may be a good time to add this to my setup. But i have some questions that you guys may be able to help me with.

1. I am planning on moving the HDS Gen2 to the front of the boat and connecting it to my XI5 unit to utilize the built in Sonar on the TM and replacing it at my console with the Gen 3 unit.

2. I understand that I can basically replace the Gen 2 at the console with the Gen 3 plug it in and I am done. I can then take the Gen 2 and move it to the front and connect the XI5 and also connect it to the Gen 3 unit via a ethernet cable and it will share info like waypoints, sonar and the lss2 sonar, among other things.

3. I understand that I will be able to use the fish revel function on the Gen 3 but not the Gen 2 unit.

Do you guys see anything wrong with my assumptions or what I am planning on doing?
