Default Using DI transducer on SI unit?

I have a helix 9 SI on the console of my carolina skiff. I occasionally spider rig. (usually pull jigs or crankbaits if I am crappie fishing) Since I don't do it all the time, I hate to spend $1000 to put another unit up front. I do some type of trolling 90 percent of the time. Thought about just using the one I have and moving it. What are the pros and cons if I just put a DI transducer on my trolling motor for it? Will it work and do ok? Thanks for any info.

Yes ... it is possible to use a DI xducer on a HB SI unit ...

I would recommend the XTM 9 WIDE DI 20 T because it has the 200kHz/83kHz 2d piezo that is compatible with the 200kHz/83kHz 2d transmit frequencies of the HB SI unit ...

Here is more info on using a DI xducer on a HB SI unit ...
