What is the difference between the KVD and the regular H 9 SI?
What accessories are needed to reap the full benefits?

Just to expound on Bassing's info a tad ...

The KVD comes with a few free lures and how-to booklet ... The signature has been removed from the HELIX bezel but the red bling on the buttons is still there ...

The HELIX 9 SI comes stock with the XNT 9 SI 180 T Compact SI xducer ...

This Compact SI xducer can be upgraded to the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T by calling HB before you open the transom mount hardware bag ... 1-800-633-1468

The XHS 9 HDSI 180 T will give better SI images due to the longer SI piezoes ...

The XHS 9 HDSI 180 T will also give the added 800kHz SI frequency capability ...

Brian at BBG marine told me when I bought mine was the reason why the KVD was cheaper ONLY because of marketing/advertising cost. As far as functionality between the regular and KVD there is no difference. Cosmetically there is though. Just passing on the info I was told. So u get the same unit plus a few extra lures for cheaper! I have not researched it myself but I do now the KVD is cheaper. I went with it and LOVE it! Definitely upgrade the transducer....way cheaper to do it on the front end.
