    Grounding the unit to the trolling motor skeg. The wide trolling motor transducer was a good recommendation from you to. Really makes things pop!

    I'm still wondering why people are so stuck on using 2d in split screens with DI ... when it's so much more obvious what you are seeing on the DI screen, and some even say they "need" DI with their 2d sonar so they can "interpret" what the 2d image is showing them

    Why not use the full screen on DI .... and get a better understanding of what's below you, and have a larger view of the "history" showing on the screen

    You will sometimes see something on DI that is not on 2D, telling you it is off to the side. If you use 200Khz, it is better for positioning......I would make the 2D a smaller % of the screen.

    For general scanning, full screen DI is probably better.
