    Default humminbird 598 hd si

my unit started acting up this past weekend. been working perfect until now. I launched the boat this past Saturday. when I turned my 598 on it displayed I was in 1500feet of water. I was in only five foot. the di and si images was black with no image. the 2d sonar was a normal screen showing the bottom around a foot deep on the scale but still showing 1500 feet deep. water tem was accurate. I put the depth finder in simulation mode and everything worked fine. I think the transducer clunked out. any suggestions?

Remove the unit from its base and inspect the pins and connectors down inside the base for anything abnormal looking ...

Check the xducer mounting to see if the xducer has moved or gotten damaged ...

Was there another sonar operating at the same time as this issue ...??

Have you tried Restore Defaults ...??

Restored defaults checked pins examined the transducer and the whole 20' cable no visible damage.. No other depth finder was running anywhere near me.

Remove the cables from the quick attach base and plug them directly into the back of the unit ...

    Test on the water ...

If the issue is still present call HB ...
