i have to trim motor just a bit

First time out with Helix today, didn't get to try very long started raining.
When in SI mode, left side looks fine, right side goes out a few feet and then is "shaded". Is something blocking beam ? Pick up for live well is only thing I see that could possibly be in the way. I think if I move the transducer away from the live well pick up it will shoot under it then. Planning on trying that, just wondering if anyone has any other ideas. Good unit for the money, wanted to try this one before I spent alot of money to try SI, but I can already tell the screen is very small. Wish I had saved and got at least a 999.

Remove the xducer and stick down in the water well past where anything could possibly block the SI beams...
If the issue disappears ...something on your boat is blocking the beam or the xducer is "way" out of level side to side...
If the issue is still present ...something is amiss either in the xducer or the control head...
The best test in this scenario is to cross test your head unit on another SI unit or another SI xducer on your head unit...

Been thinking, the right side shoots out a few feet past the "ditch" under the boat. If something was blocking transducer
could it do this ? maybe partially blocking it ? Almost seems if it was blocked it wouldn't shoot past the boat

Not sure what you are meaning about the “ditch” under the boat, but each of the Si sonar beams are very wide and go from the surface of the water to past directly under the boat. So you could have something blocking the top part of the right Si sonar beam yet the lower parts of the right Si sonar beam will go out, reflect off of objects and still be able to return back to the transducer.
Try the testing that Rickie recommended and let us know how it went.
Will try lowering the transducer some. Greg you are from bama, directly under the boat where the beam doesn't pick up looks like a "ditch" lol

I understand the "ditch" now. I wasn't born in 'Bama, so maybe that's the problem.![]()
