    Default Humminbird guru question

Will a XTM 9 SI 180T work on a 859 ci HD DI ? This is a question I can not get anyone to answer.... Google don't know and humminbird support must be REALLY backed up.

And one more. I'm trying to network an 1198 and this 859. Will the adaptor cable used to link 798 and 1198 work to link the 859 with the 1198 or will I need a different cable???

Why can't everything have standard hook ups????

The SI xducer will work on a HB DI unit ... But you won't like the results ...

The DI channel from the 859 DI will connect to the right SI piezo in the XTM 9 SI 180 T ... So your echo data will be coming 60° to the right of the boat ...

You could rotate the SI xducer to point the right SI piezo straight down ... But then your 2d piezo would be pointing 30° to the left and giving incorrect depth readings ... Which just messes up everything ...

Yes the AS EC QDE that you used for the 798 is the same AS EC QDE needed to connect Ethernet to the 859 ...

👍👍👍👍. Man that was fast. Thanks you sir.
I have one more question. I currently have asgr50 (I think that's the number) pucks. When linking the 2 units together will they operate off of one puck or their own dedicated puck??

You can choose which Head unit uses which GPS antenna in the Network tab ...

For waypoint accuracy (returning to marked waypoints) ... It's best to mount the GPS puck(s) as close as possible to the xducer(s) ...
