    Default Elite HDI 7 interference.

Just installed new unit and this is what the screen looks like. What could be causing the verticle lines and how do I fix it? Unit does it all the time running, stopped, trolling and when everything in the boat is cut off except for the unit.
    Thanks.

Where do you have the power wire hooked up? Should run a dedicated wire from cranking battery straight to unit. Put a fuse at the battery. Do you have a onboard battery charger? Have seen some cases where folks were using a Minkota charger that caused interference.

If it is doing that with everything off it has to be a problem with the Lowrance. You could verify this by temporarily hooking it up to a small battery like a lawn mower or motorcycle battery

The unit is spliced into another wire that runs into the main fuse box. That could be part of the problem. Have an onboard charger but I don't believe it is a minn kota. Definitely will be trying taking an extra battery to try hooking it up to but the new unit is hooked up to power exactly like the old lowrance unit that I replaced.
    Thanks again.
