Thread: Upgrade itch

Getting the itch to upgrade my trolling motor. It will be a motor guide xi5 of some sort.
Is it a mistake to get the built in transducer?
If anything breaks, I lose everything up front for a while. Also, technology changes so often , not sure I want to be locked in.
Of course, I assume I can always strap a different transducer on it later.

I have the Motorguide W55 with built in TD and love it . It is 2d is the only thing but that is what I use.
