Pretty cool, what software are you using ?

Work has really played havoc on the water time over the past several months but thought some would be interested in other ways to use the SI in both HB and the LOW units. Here are the projects I've been working on for my home lakes after making several recordings to cover the areas I fish.
By taking the SI recordings and linking them you get a bottom map of everything on the bottom. You also use the 2D information for making a detailed map of your lake.
Here is one of the areas I started on.
I then took the SI and made a map of the bottom for this mud flat. The two sunken boats really hold the crappie for this area and from looking at the bottom you can see why.
This is a long cove, from the banks you can see how fast it drops and the dark center shows the channel of the old creek. It also shows the out crop of rock / stumps and a fall down up in the head of the cove. As time goes by and with the addition of other recordings a full map of the areas I fish can be obtained for future reference. Knowing the time of year and where the fish like to be during those times...with the aid of these maps at the house I can pick locations I fell will hold fish.
Many may not be interested in doing this but for me it's fun time on the water and will help in the long run. Hope it sparks interest and shows that your unit can do a lot more than just find you a fishing hole. Good luck on the waterthis winter.

GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
That's neat what software?

ReefMasters, Matt has really done some great things on this and has worked with customers to add things that are needed for what we want to do as fisherman.
Others are out there but this is what I use.
So you can make your own maps with reefmaster? Can it be placed on an sd card and into my graph? How long did it take to make a lake? Or can I be mapping as im triolling? And do you have the lite or pro software?
I have a humminbird 859 and 899, will it do this?
Very cool!
Lowpro, go to reefmastersoftware dot com. You can find out more about the units used there. I use a 898 and a 859. You can record data while you are fish or you can run a charted path to collect data. I have the Pro.
Bottom composition can also be collected to get maps of hardness or makeup of the bottom, this is a module you add to your system like the side scan mosaic. In px one of the lake map you can see on the bottom right side of the shot that the software shows the bottom coming back up as if this is one small lake. However I never made recordings over there so the software auto adjusted the lines. This data can be collected later and added to the map to inlarge the area for true depth over there.
Guys running the Low units I know area adding maps to their units but not sure on the HB. I think this was something he was working on and I have not got into it it so have not read up on it for my unit yet. I'll see if he can come over and help with some of your Q.
very cool
Nice, using reefmaster pro or lite?
