transducer placement

Well I went and got another boat but not sure where to put my transducer. This boat now has trim tabs. There is a small step where all my intakes and drain is at. That area is not tall enough for my bracket. This is for a 998si hd unit. I can see where a old transducer was located but not sure if that location would be to close to the motor.

The trim tabs definitely make this challenging ...

Is that step setback far enough to mount the XPTH 9 HDSI 180 T ...?? (this is a true thru hull xducer that would need a hole drilled in the bottom of the boat for mounting to the underside of the step)...

Or you might be able to use the dual HDSI xducer setup with the AS SILR Y cable and mount the 2 xducers as close to (and slightly lower) than the trim tabs ..

I also think you would benefit from the XP 9 20 in the bilge connected with the AS SIDB Y cable ... For high speed depth readings ...
