A shadow would be darker. I believe a harder bottom too. Should be a happy face with all those fish around

Slabback, that is the way my 998 was set up .i had notice that face also. As for answer i will let u know on monday, but when i was going by i had it on si and all this came up and i switch to di ,then did a way point, still waiting for right answer,no one is close,i went over it many times and also came back to it many times later in the month
How about emerging weeds?
Shell bed?
I WAS USING SI WHEN I CAME ACROSS ALL THESE CRAPPIES,THEY WERE TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF BOAT SO I SWITCH TO DI TO SEE WHAT I COULD SEE. IT PICK UP A FEW IN WATER COLUMN AND THE OTHERS WERE FARTHER THAN BOTTOM DISTANT ,15 FEET,SO THEY APPEAR TO BE ON BOTTOM WHEN MOST WERE NOT. I WENT BY THEM A FEW TIMES ON BOTH SIDES WITH SI AND DI. I WAS CATCHING PLENTY OF FISH BUT HAD TO LEAVE BECAUSE I WAS TAKING CANCER TREAMENTS 60 MILES AWAY EVERY DAY AND DID NOT WANT TO BE LATE,WE CAMP THERE SO WE WOULD BE CLOSER TO DUKE THAN HOME BUT IT WAS FRIDAY AND AFTER TREAMENT WE WOULD GO HOME ON FRIDAYS WHICH IT WAS,ALL I COULD THINK ABOUT WAS COMING BACK AND FISH FOR THEM A WHILE ON MONDAY BEFORE TREAMENT,YOU GUEST IT ,THEY WERE GONE AND ONLY A LITTLE BIT OF A BP WAS THERE WITH ABOUT 3 SMALL BRANCHES AND THE BOTTOM WAS CLEAR,NO WHITE SPOTS WHICH I KNEW ALREADY WERE FISH BECAUSE OF GOING BY THEM A FEW TIMES AT DIFFERENT DIRECTION WITH SI. MAYBE THAT IS WHY WAY POINT HAS SAD FACE:dono
My guess is a hard bottom. We have a road bed in the local lake that has a return like that. I even got a hard return off the 5 gallon bucket of concrete I had put some bamboo in.
As i said ,those white spots are crappies, all was gone 3 days later,no white spots left and no fish there
My first impression looking at it was fish on a stump, with maybe the roots and maybe submerged trunk making the bright spot.
Sometimes it's hard figuring something out from a single image. On the water, you can run over it a few times from different angles to help figure it out, then when you look at the image it becomes obvious.
