I don't remember the name of speed setting for your unit, my onix are 1 2 3 4 5. I run my 360 on 3 almost all the time

When I'm trolling at .7-.9 mph I set mine on standard witch is 3. The higher speeds were useless to me. If I want a faster refresh rate i would just hit the check mark button. As far as settings go, 12 sensitivity and 5-6 contrast with Amber color seems to be a good place to start for where I fish. I noticed that you have to adjust if you travel very far.
And if your stopped sitting on bream beds and want the best quality shot, slow is by far the best setting.
Kosmo, that makes it to simple (1,2,3,4,5).

Kosmo do you have many laydowns, brush piles, stumps, where you fish? It would help me if you could post a few, then the next time I'm on the water I will take a few snaps of what I am getting on my 998c SI.
Danny, I have notice about the same on higher speed. Except when I am looking for a brush pile I have marked with a waypoint it does help me find it faster (I can see the bright sonar signal from it) and as you know the waypoint is not usually dead-on the object. Thanks for reply.
I think any unit would be pretty much useless in a 5' weedy lake.

Yea, I do the same thing.while returning to a waypiont, sometimes I'll turn the 360 speed up to 4 and I'll scan out to around 100ft +., Once I see the bright return of the structure, ill stop using the gps and ill use the 360 to postion my boat (360 works really well for this)
