Will my Hbird Wide 100 transducer work with a 798 SI for a second transducer? I already have the 100 and was wondering if I could use the transducer off it for a second while running on plane. If I can what will I have to do? It is already mounted on the boat so if it will work it would be great.

I'll have to let Greg confirm this one...

(I think the Wide 100 xducer uses a 2 pin straight connector...which probably won't connect to the AS SIDB Y cable for this application)...

Greg will probably check in Friday morning sometime and let you know for sure...

Rickie is correct but you could use an AD-629 Adapter Cable to make it work. You would need to know that the 200kHz part of the Wide 100 transducer (XHS-6-24) was good to begin with though. The 83kHz would not work well with this transducer though but when running on plane most only use the 200kHz sonar.

Thanks guys...my plan may have changed I may be putting the side imaging on my old boat. New boat is stick steer and the ride is too rough for my back up front, so I made the decision to switch motors off the new boat to the old boat and the SI will go on the old boat also and I already have a old HBird on it that I will use while on plane and another on the TM. Thanks guys I am glad I finally made up my mind to do this.
