Yes, Brett ... it's a screen shot from my Lowrance Elite 5 DSI/Chartplotter unit. The same model that Lowrance discontinued, in favor of the Elite HDI series, so that all the "old school" players could have their 2d sonar screen back :banghead (Elite 5 DSI units were DI only, no 2d sonar).
I just find it amusing that the "latest/greatest" hype is over a process that enhances 2d images ... when most of the discussion I've read has been about how the DI images help the user to interpret what the 2d image actually is :Doh: ... To my way of thinking, CHIRP is retro & out of place/sync with the progression of depth/fish finder imaging. :dono maybe I'm off base on that, but it just seems like the mfg's looped back into the past (2d imaging) and made it better AFTER they'd already created a better imaging system (DI/SI). I just can't figure out why everyone thinks that's such a cool deal :scratchhead
