The "washboard effect" is an anomoly in the SI image created by the SI piezoes and the DI piezo "pinging" at the same time...Quote:

The Garmin video you referenced show this same "washboard effect" in the SI image...
The ONIX allows a setting to turn off the DI ping...which can eliminate this "washboard effect" in the ONIX SI image....
The Lowrance Structure Scan units do not have an option to turn off the DI ping while the SI is operating...
The Garmin...I do not know if this option exists...
